Our group on the History of Art arrived at its end for this year
Our journey to the magical paths of art arrived at its end for this year with a tour of the prehistoric Cycladic civilization.
We witnessed during the course of our journeys how the history of humanity and the world is being recorded through the Art expressed in different eras and cultures.
The attendees of the group showed great interest and participation, every group posing a new incentive in discovering how the common essence of all things is expressed through the creations of various artists.

During our last stop at the central Aegean Sea, that has since then become the crossroad of cultural influences, we silently conversed with primordial idols with human forms; modest in their serene nudity; impressive in their contemporary simplicity; enigmatic in their disarming sincerity.
Priceless fragments scattered all over the earth -in museums and private collections- that insist on proclaiming the universality of long-standing values renouncing every kind of individuality. Mother, nurturer, psychopomps, prayer, harper or hunter – who knows? They gaze at the stars and the future and inspire our present.

Afterwards, we briefly visited the Triangle Square of Akrotiri, we admired the frescoes of the cute neighborhood two-storey houses and we rest under the pergola’s shadow in the terrace of the House of the Admiral gazing out at the glittering sea. And from there, with a borrowed boat, we returned moments before the island becomes desolate and lava rescues the myth.
Our journey to the History of Art may be over for this year but our quest continues daily and we invite you to visit us and meet in person.
