the Society’s teaching travelled to international scientific conferences while members of the Society participated in world contests of poetry and literature “Exploring psychology: scientific approaches about the human entity” – Humanistic, Existential, Systemic psychology
On 15 Aprile 2013, during the third meeting of our group, we discussed about the humanistic, existential and systemic perspective in psychology.
We witnessed how the psychological thought, influenced by the philosophical currents of humanism and existentialism, took a turn towards the individual’s free will and one’s possibility to be responsible for one’s own change in order to use one’s potential to evolve and develop.
We further discussed about the influence that other sciences caused on psychology and the birth of systemic perspective, which, using a wide-angle lens, expands its view and observes the individual in the context of the various systems that one belongs.
Many thoughts were once again raised leading to a long and lively discussion where everyone gave their opinion and posed interesting questions.
