Tragedy is, we focused on understanding the purpose of the tragedy itself: the “Aristotelian” catharsis and the way through which the dramatic poet brings to light human aspects that are very well hidden. Through this art, where those human aspects are consciously performed on stage, the viewer experiences the same passions of the tragic heroes. He experiences all their fluctuations and in the end he finds redemption, becomes spiritually enriched, as he has been elevated through the high meanings and he gains greater knowledge of the self.
