Invitation to the Society’s seminar in Korfos, Korinthia 24-28/08/2011

In this 5-day seminar in picturesque Korfos, Corinth, as participants we will deepen into and experience the spiritual dimension within ourselves, our relationships with others and all aspects of our everyday life. You will be introduced to the Society’s teachings, a practical philosophy of synthesis. Such a process of self-awareness – combining theme analyses and experiential exercises in a group setting – will be facilitated by the persons at the head of the Society, spiritual healers with 30-year experience in the field of practical spirituality.

The program will be based on group-work, during which some of the scheduled activities include the following:

  • Relaxation
  • Introduction to Creative Meditation
  • Introduction to concepts and practices of spiritual healing and self-healing
  • ‘Chorodromena’: dance/movements that balance the forces and energies within us and surrounding us, resulting in physical and spiritual wellness
  • Self-observation groups (body – emotion – mind – spirit focused)
  • Spirituality as a means for the therapist to develop resilience
  • A study of ancient Greek thought and its links to modern life
  • Analysis of art works through a spiritual perspective

On completion of the seminar, participants will be able to:

  • Use daily practices that promote well-being and an authentic, fulfilled life
  • Work towards improvement of relationships in personal, social and work life through acknowledging the spiritual dimension in themselves and others
  • Perform simple self-healing practices
  • Use self-care practices focusing on avoiding burn-out
  • Understand the concept of spiritual development as a practical philosophy

Who is it for?

This workshop is suitable for anyone interested in advancing their self-awareness and exploring the spiritual dimension, as a fundamental part of ourselves and our lives.

It is addressed to anyone who wishes to improve all aspects of their everyday life and promote their well-being. The perspective acquired is non-religious and non-sectarian, but inclusive to people of all backgrounds. It will also be of particular interest to mental health professionals, personal development facilitators, counsellors, psychologists, psychotherapists, social scientists as well as students, care-providers or researchers in the field of healing, spirituality and well-being.

During the seminar there will be an all-day excursion to Epidavros’ Ancient Theatre
